Ruta 4. Around Cambre

Google Maps

The route starts in the village of Cambre, near the Roman Archeological Site Museum, close to a jewel of Romanesque art in Galicia, the Monastery of Santa María de Cambre, listed as a National Monument. This route appears to be a real journey through the history of Galicia and runs by the castros (hill forts) of Cambre and Armental. Discovering beautiful hikking trails, we reach the Pena da Nosa Señora, place shrouded by mystery, in which petroglyphs of the first inhabitants of this land still remain.

Besides the significant cultural values, the walker can also enjoy landscapes of interest, such as a forge, that is still preserved. The route ends finally in the same place of departure.
