The Rivers of Cambre Route allows us to visit the main channels of the municipality. It starts and finishes its tour in the river Mero, passing by the creek of San Benito and the river Brexa.

On this route are located the main environmental values of the municipality of Cambre associated with the flora and fauna of the bank mainly, although we also find forests formed by English oaks, pines and eucalyptus, but they are small and scattered. The typical vegetation is formed by chestnuts, oaks, birches, pines…, as well as a strong variety of plant, ferns and shrubs.

In terms of fauna, we emphasize the bank birds like the nightingales and grey wagtails. It should be noted also the role played by the nearby reservoir of Abegondo-Cecebre, as main core of diversity of species of wintering water birds.

The route runs through the towns of Brexo and Bribes, being two areas of special historical value in the municipality of Cambre, because of its Calvary monuments, churches and its monastery.
