Route 1. Sisalde River

The route starts at the beach of Barrañán and go through a series of roads that were once frequented by people who came to the beach and retailers in the area. It also runs about specific ethnographic items, such as the Castro of Armentón and the mills of Margarida, Ibia and Zapata. Once in the place of Monteagudo, in the middle of the route, it is possible to visit one of the jewels of the Romanesque in Arteixo: the parish church of Santo Tomé de Monteagudo.

This route also leads the traveller to areas of great ecological and landscape importance, such as the Forge of Sisalde, and borders all the time the river that gives name, the Sisalde stream.
